Nia Fundamentals with Lisa Mirante

Lisa tells me that we all come to class with a memory of moving a certain way. Maybe because we are runners, or have practiced martial art or maybe because we have always kicked this way or have a little pain here or there… we have “movement habits.”

As we get ready to start bi-weekly classes (and weeks before our Super Nia Week), Lisa wants to demonstrate to us a few of the classic Nia moves. She wants to clarify them and simplify them for us.

In order to get the most FUN and benefits (and FUN) out of our Nia class time, it is important for us to know the proper technique.

Then of course, because it’s Nia, we get to add our own interpretation.
